Penguin Game

A friend of mine ( Joel) came up with this game.

Beware it can get noisy and for whatever reason kids seem to love this game. Beats me, seems kinda dumb. ha

Draw a large square on the board. Within that square draw a path. At various points in the path draw some monsters. Whatever you able to. Spiders, snakes, dracula, bats, alligators, sharks, mummies...whatever.

At the beginning of the path you draw a penguin( or whatever animal you like) and at the end some sort of reward, gold, food, or maybe something for the students.

Here comes the point. It's a direction game for lower levels. UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT. Take the marker and start to dot your way through the maze. The kids shout out the direction the penguin has to go. They like it when the the dots go off the path and towards a monster. Give them a few near misses and pretend you can't hear them. Basically clown around with them. Easy game and they like it.

Anyways, another simple game that teaches them something and can fill up a few minutes at the end of the class.
